Meet Carol
Carol Ostroff graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting where she was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi, the honors accounting association at the University. Subsequently she received a Master of Science at University of Southern California. She has over 30 years experience in the field of public accounting.
After graduation from college, Ms. Ostroff was a Senior Accountant with the national firm of Haskins and Sells during which time she specialized in auditing of small businesses and consulting with individuals in the area of income taxation. After obtaining a broad range of experiences at a large public accounting firm and later with a real estate development group, she branched off on her own to open a private practice specializing in business management and taxation. Recently she has developed an additional emphasis in her practice in the area of administration and taxation of estates and trusts in order to assist in the financial situations for an aging population. She also assists young entrepreneurs and professionals with starting the accounting for their new businesses by advising on the type of entity to adobt and the tax considerations and record keeping required for tax records and reports of the options such as a Sole owner LLC, a Subchapter S corporation or a C corporation. It's never to early to get the right start with those good ideas.
For many years Ms. Ostroff also taught accounting classes to beginning accounting students at two of the California state junior colleges in southern California in an effort to encourage young business majors to consider careers in the field of public accounting. That love of teaching is the reason enjoys new clients and professionals to educate them in the winning ways of business and the need to prepare good accounting reports.
Active in a multitude of professional and business societies including the California Society of CPA’s, the Women’s Accounting Society of Santa Barbara, and the Montecito Rotary Club, and Del Mar Association as the treasurer, Ms. Ostroff enjoys the continual educational challenges of the ever-changing taxation and accounting profession.
Her offices have been located in Malibu, California and Beverly Hills, California and most recently in Solana Beach, California and in Del Mar, California. You will never find Carol very far away from the Pacific Ocean.
